By removing the need for a separate power source the BMPRO TrailSafe consists solely of a compact brake-away switch which is mounted directly onto the draw bar. This mounting location provides easy access to your existing electrical circuit for minimal installation requirement. Utilising the RV's house battery not only provides a larger power source which are generally well maintained, it frees up much desired space from duplicate componentry within the RV.

For those requiring a remote monitor the optional TrailCheck is a wireless monitor which connects to the TrailSafe via Bluetooth. This intelligent unit is powered via your standard car cigarette plug and allows you transfer between multiple tow vehicles without additional installations.

Breakaway kits are required on all Caravans or Trailers that exceed 2000kg that use electric brakes. The unit will engage the caravans brakes if the caravan detaches from the tow vehicle.
